Winnipeg based Pollard Banknote (Pollard) has made another strategic move to further its commitment to the charitable gaming industry. Pollard’s subsidiary, American Games, and International Gamco (Gamco) have joined forces becoming the second largest supplier and partner of choice for distributors and charities across North America and, indeed, around the world.
This transaction brings together two strong and well-respected companies with complimentary product lines, providing our customers with greater options and long-term stability. American Games’ core product offering consists of traditional paper pull-tabs, bingo paper, pull-tab vending machines, ticket counters and the recently acquired Diamond Game electronic pull-tab gaming system. Gamco also offers a comprehensive pull-tab product line, including video verification and a complete electronic pull-tab solution via its Oasis Gaming Division.
While each company will continue to manufacture independently in order to support their existing product lines and brands, the combination of American Games and Gamco create a true leader in the charitable gaming industry.
American Games’ President, Steven Fingold, will assume this same role over the two companies. Steven will lead the combined efforts of American Games and Gamco to achieve growth as well as the many increased efficiencies and opportunities anticipated.
Gamco’s Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, Pete Svendgard, will assume this same role for both companies. Pete will lead the overall sales and marketing efforts to maximize opportunities in the charitable gaming industry, leveraging the combined portfolio of each company’s products and customer relationships.
“Our two companies have worked together in the past, and are longtime friendly competitors. We hold similar values and philosophies with an emphasis on honesty and integrity, and above all, 100% customer satisfaction. This is the foundation upon which we will build our future together” said Fingold.
“Business will continue to operate as usual, as we maintain all existing product lines and brands”, Svendgard added. “This new alignment will facilitate collaboration in manufacturing aimed at increased capacity to handle additional volume as well as improve long-term efficiencies, all of which will benefit our customers.”
Phil Glassman, founder of International Gamco commented, “Our employees and customers have become family and friends over the years, making this an important decision for us, one that we’ve carefully contemplated for a long time. I can think of no better way to ensure continued success for all involved than to join our operations with American Games. Beyond the stability this provides, it will strengthen both companies and allow us to offer our customers new products, as well as alternatives for their current products. I have a tremendous respect for the abilities of Steven and Pete to make this happen.”
